Master students are required to complete course requirements and to pass the final oral examination by defending their Master Thesis. The specific requirements of the department are listed below.
1. Course Requirements
a. A total of thirty four credit hours, which have been approved by the advisor or the department head, is required including four credit hours of Graduate Seminar (I), (II), (III) and (IV), and six credit hours of Master Thesis (I) and (II).
b. Two required courses must be taken from the following three courses: Reaction Engineering and Reactor Design, Advanced Transport Phenomenon, and Advanced Chemical Thermodynamics.
2. Graduate Seminar
Master students must take and pass a total of four credit hours of Graduate Seminar except the outstanding students who can graduate in less than two years.
3. Master Thesis
a. Master students must take and pass a total of six credit hours of Master Thesis except the outstanding students who can graduate in less than two years.
b. Students can set up the final oral examination for Master Thesis through the approval of their advisors and must pass the examination for graduation.
